Teachers for a sustainable future - we held a successful online research event!

On 7 May 2025, we held the online presentation of the HAND Alliance's Teachers for a Sustainable Future research project, where we reflected with 32 participants on the current state of education for sustainability and global responsibility in teacher education in Hungary.

During the programme, we presented the most important Hungarian and international research results of the project, followed by interactive sessions with exciting discussions on issues such as:

  • The gap between ideal and realistic teacher education,

  • the relationship between sustainability and global education,

  • the barriers and facilitators to teacher preparation,

  • And experiences with the Z-subject.

The dialogue with participants also inspired new approaches and research ideas - confirming that there is a need for joint thinking and collaboration for a sustainable future.

Thank you all for your participation!

The programme was co-funded by the International Visegrad Fund and the European Union.
